The fee for a comprehensive eye test is $85.00. This amount includes a full check of the health of the eye as well as a prescription for glasses or contacts. Read more about your comprehensive eye exam in components of an examination.
Medicare will rebate a portion of your fee, and, just like at your doctors, we are able to process your Medicare claim on the spot for you
If you are a concession card holder the fee for a comprehensive eye test is the same as the Medicare rebate. In other words, there is no gap. Your Medicare claim will be processed on the spot and the rebate goes back into your account in approximately 24 hours.
For children under the age of 18 all consultations will be bulk billed
We have on site an optical coherence tomography (OCT) machine which is the same equipment Ophthalmologists use to look into the back of your eye. If this test is necessary at Davey & Associates Optometrists we charge just $75 or $60 for concession card holders.
